Our Nurse Practitioner using an integrative approach involving working together to try to get to the root of the problem and to create a comprehensive treatment plan that may incorporate medication and/or supplements, psychotherapy, lifestyle modifications targeting diet, exercise and sleep, mind-body approaches.

Alison Creeden graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Simmons University in 2010 and completed a Dietetic Internship at Mount Auburn Hospital in 2011. Following several years as a clinical dietitian working at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, she pursued her Master’s Degree in Nutrition from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She is a certified nutrition support clinician and a certified specialist in oncology nutrition. With Alison’s training and vast experience from Boston based hospitals she provides a research-based approach to nutrition counseling and prioritizes helping people to live a healthy lifestyle integrating the importance of mental health. She believes in balance with the goal of managing ongoing stressors of life and providing simple nutrition interventions to help individuals and families. She has seen first-hand how nutrition is an integral part of healing and recovery.

Alison is a compassionate provider ensuring her patients feel heard through supportive listening. Her kind and optimistic demeanor offers a calm and comfortable presence, and she strives to create an atmosphere promoting positivity and self-affirmation. She provides motivation to influence change and works with her patients to help them achieve realistic goals. Through continued education and encouragement, she wants her patients to feel supported along their nutrition journey and to encourage them to make the right nutrition decisions for their body and lifestyle.

Alison has been in the nutrition field for many years and understands the challenges people face navigating nutrition research on all formats. She breaks down topics in an easy way to promote improved understanding. She recognizes that food is a major aspect of life, culture and social events and she wants you to enjoy yourself and have the knowledge about what best fuels your body. Her priority is to individualize nutrition counseling to each person and to create manageable goals specific to you. With her dedication, empathy and passion for nutrition she will help you feel empowered and confident to feel your best self.

Meredith Hogarty graduated with a clinical Master’s Degree in Social Work in 2007 from Boston College. Following several years in the field, working with children and families, Meredith decided to continue her education in the nursing field at the MGH Institute of Health Professions where she earned a Masters of Science in Nursing degree in mental health in 2014. Meredith has been in private practice since 2017 and in 2023, she completed a fellowship to become a certified integrative psychiatric provider at the Integrative Psychiatry Institute. With Meredith’s unique professional background as a social worker and nurse practitioner, she approaches each patient interaction with warmth, kindness, understanding, patience, and compassion. At times, Meredith has also been known to incorporate her good sense of humor and wit as appropriate.

Meredith has always held a passion for helping others which has grown as she has continued her education in the field of mental health and has specialized in providing medication management with an integrative approach. Meredith’s approach to treating mental health focuses on the root cause of your symptoms by ordering and interpreting lab work, considering your medical history and nutritional status. While Meredith prescribes traditional psychotropic medication, she also incorporates supplements as appropriate, psychotherapy and lifestyle modifications like diet, exercise, stress-reduction, self-care and connection.

Meredith is a mother, wife and business owner who also manages chronic health issues of her own. She understands the challenges of being a working mother today while also navigating healthcare and advocating for the best personal health outcomes. Meredith believes we can all experience improved mental health outcomes with a supportive and caring provider on your side while combining an integrative approach with traditional psychiatric practices.
